Christian Eriksen raises doubts over Tottenham future

Tottenham’s struggles to compete with the Premier League’s top clubs could see them lose another of their prized assets, a year after the departure of Gareth Bale, with Christian Eriksen admitting that he has “a secret plan” in his head over his long term future.

The Dane conceded to Danish newspaper Ekstra Bladet that he has “a dream” of the future along with his secret plan.

However, the Dane appears content at White Hart Lane for the moment, admitting that he is incredibly happy that the club and supporters are pleased with his form.

The former Ajax man has also insisted recently that his future at the club next season does not hinge on the Champions League, but the latest interview does pose doubts over his medium term future at White Hart Lane should Tottenham not progress next season.

“I’m incredibly happy that they seem happy with me,” he said of the club’s fans.

“I am very glad that they like what they see.

“Of course I have a dream and a secret plan in my head. But I keep it to myself. Right now I live in the moment and enjoy the success I have.”

Eriksen has been in scintillating form recently, netting the equaliser at the weekend in the club’s 3-3 draw with West Brom. Since his arrival last summer, Eriksen has scored seven league goals and created six assists, along with 48 further chances.
