Clarence Seedorf sacked as AC Milan manager; Filippo Inzaghi appointed as his successor

Filippo Inzaghi is the new AC Milan manager

Former AC Milan legend Filippo Inzaghi will replace Clarence Seedorf as the new manager of AC Milan.

Seedorf, who had replaced Massimilano Allegri as the new manager of AC Milan in January 2014 won only 11 out of 22 games as AC Milan finished a lowly 8th in the Serie A.

He will be succeeded by his former team-mate Filippo Inzaghi, who was working as manager of the club’s youth team.

Inzaghi, who retired as a player in 2012 has been appointed as manager till June 2016.

An official statement from the club read, “AC Milan wishes to communicate that coach Clarence Seedorf has been sacked, and the first team has been entrusted to Pippo Inzaghi until June 30, 2016.”
