Conflict over backroom staff hinders East Bengal's preparation for next season

After Sushant Matthew’s injury, a new problem cropped up in the East Bengal camp. Till now East Bengal are practicing without a goalkeeping coach. Regarding this issue, coach Trevor James Morgan and East Bengal club officials are at loggerheads, as the club is not approving the appointment of someone, who the coach wants by his side.

New signing goalkeeper, Abhijit Mondal is doing the job of a coach besides his looking after his own practice routine. But East Bengal’s British coach seems quite unhappy with the club’s lack of concern about this matter.

Morgan have already told the officials that he wants Mr. Atanu Bhattacharya, an ex-India international, who is with the club since 2009, as the goal-keeper coach, but the club is not approving his decision.

However, talks are going on and they will probably reach a decision today.
