Cristiano Ronaldo cuts short interview after being questioned about Sergio Ramos

Ronaldo looking forward to working with new Blancos manager Rafa Benitez

Cristiano Ronaldo was forced to storm out of an interview with SNTV after being repeatedly enquired about Real Madrid teammate Sergio Ramos’ transfer situation. In the video uploaded by ESPN FC, the reigning Ballon d’Or winner looked to be upset with the persistent questioning on the matter, and cut short his interview before walking off.

When asked about the possibility of Sergio Ramos leaving Real Madrid, Ronaldo simply responded,“I don’t know,” and echoed the same words once more letting his frustration known.

The Independent had reported last week, that according to Spanish newspaper AS, Ronaldo had called up his good friend Ramos in an attempt to persuade him to stay at Los Blancos.

Ronaldo upset that he ended up looking stupid in front of the reporters

The interviewer tried to cool things down by asking the Portuguese international his view on Steven Gerrard’s move to MLS before returning to the probe further on the Ramos matter, prompting the angry reaction from Ronaldo.

Ronaldo though seemed more irate with his two press officers, one of them close friend Ricardo, for not stepping in.

“You are the ones who have to do this, “finish, finish,” and I end up looking stupid, ” Ronaldo told his media managers. “I am not insisting on anything, he is making me leave.Do you want me to be unfriendly with this guy?”

Sergio Ramos is the subject of a £35 million bid from Roanldo’s former club Manchester United, and the Spanish defender has reportedly told club officials at the Bernabeu, that he wants to end the 10-year association with Madrid.

The latest report by AS though indicated that Ramos is looking to continue his career at Madrid. Speaking to Cuatro, he told, “I am not negotiating with anyone.”

Ronaldo looking forward to winning trophies with Benitez

Ronaldo quashed rumours about his own future after being reportedly upset about the manner in which Carlo Ancelotti was sacked just a year after guiding Madrid to the coveted La Decima. Before the unsavoury manner in which the interview ended, the Portuguese winger talked about how he was looking forward to working with new club manager Rafael Benitez.

“I’ve never worked with him, but he’s a coach with a lot of experience. Let’s see what happens. I would love to work with him,” Ronaldo told in the ESPN FC video.

The 29-year-old told further added that he expected Real to make up for the disappointments of a trophyless 2014/15 campaign under the guidance of Benitez.

“Real Madrid are the biggest club in the world. It’s always a challenge to be there. and I am quite confident of winning important trophies.”Ronaldo told SNTV.
