Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo has gifted all his Real Madrid team-mates a brand new watch, worth €8200, to celebrate their success in the UEFA Champions League last season, when they clinched the trophy for the 10th time, also called “la decima”.
The watch features the words 'La Decima' and is engraved with each player's name, Ronaldo's initials and shirt number 'CR7'. The gift clearly indicates how important winning that 10th Champions League crown was to Ronaldo, and how he appreciates the role played by each of his team-mates during the course of the season.
The watch has been manufactured by Bulgari, and as mentioned earlier, costs €8200 (£6496). Real Madrid clinched a Champions League and Cup double last season, and Ronaldo was instrumental in their success, as he had a great season.
The Portuguese international, who is also the current Ballon d’Or holder, gifted his colleagues the watch before their game against Almeria, which they eventually won 4-1, thanks to a brace from Ronaldo, a beauty from Isco and a nice header from Bale.
