Cristiano Ronaldo might be one of the greatest players to ever play “the beautiful game” but he has a big heart as well. According to reports, he has donated a whopping £5m towards the Nepal fund.

According to French sports magazine, So Foot, Ronaldo has donated the money to Save the Children, which is helping survivors of the earthquake that struck the Asian country last month and has already claimed over 7000 lives.

Not the first time Ronaldo has helped the needful

Last year, Ronaldo paid for a 10-month-old child’s brain surgery. In 2004, during the Tsunami disaster, he was so touched at the sight of a child wearing a Portuguese jersey with his name on it that he flew over to Indonesia to help with the rescue and rehabilitation. He is a Global Artist Ambassador for Save the Children

Ronaldo, who has 100m followers on Facebook and 35m followers on Twitter , urged his followers to help the cause. This is the message he posted a couple of weeks back.
