Three-time Grammy-winning producer RedOne, the man behind many of Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj and Jennifer Lopez hits recently released his debut solo single titled “Don’t You Need Somebody. The video featured many stars including Cristiano Ronaldo, Rafael Nadal and James Rodriguez singing along.
The Euros are scheduled to begin June 10 and it was perfect timing for the video release as many football stars are seen lip-syncing to the lyrics in the recent video which was uploaded on RedOne’s official Youtube page.
Portugal football sensation Cristiano Ronaldo is seen in the video singing along in a white shirt with headphones around his neck. He syncs to the title phrase ‘Don’t you need somebody’ in the beginning of the music video. A jovial Ronaldo as seen in the video will compete in Euro 2016 this year in France against other footballers like Blaise Matuidi and Mesut Ozil who also feature in the music video.
Brazilian defender, David Luiz who has been omitted from Dunga’s Brazil squad for Copa America Centenario in USA this year is seen dancing alongside France midfielder Blaise Matuidi in their Paris Saint German practice kit.
The maverick defender has the summer off and will be looking to win more trophies for PSG next season while France midfielder Matuidi will aim for European glory on home soil.
The video also has German midfielder Mesut Ozil in a funky black tee and Colombian James Rodriguez in a grey once moving and syncing their lips to the beat of the song.
Mesut Ozil has been an indispensable player for Germany for the past few years and the World champion would want to add another feather to his cap by winning the Euros.
James Rodriguez, on the other hand, has had a season to forget. Virtually ignored by Zinedine Zidane after he took over Real Madrid as manager, he would probably want a new club which would give him more game time in the next season. He is currently in the United States playing for Colombia in the Copa America Centenario.
Spanish tennis player Rafael Nadal, who had to pull out of this year Roland Garros in the third round due to injury looks like he’s enjoying pretty fine away from the court. He is seen in a picturesque background as he dances to RedOne’s new single with his shades on.
The official music video introduces an array of world stars, most of whom RedOne knows personally.
“It’s a beautiful moment and honor to have all these friends, all these celebrities that are personal friends to me to come and show love to this positive song that’s going to make the world dance and make the world a happier place,” RedOne told Morocco World News. “It feels amazing to have all these friends coming through for me,” he added.
The list of stars is huge which includes Jennifer Lopez, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Akon, Shaggy and our very own Priyanka Chopra.
