"He's fine with or without a woman on the side," insists Cristiano Ronaldo's sister

Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo’s elder sister Elma Aveiro Caires has compared her brother’s split up with his ex-girlfriend Irina Shayk to ‘death’. Elam, who is 11 years elder to the Portuguese international, revealed in an interview that while everybody has gone through a tough time due to their separation, one has to overcome it and move on in life.

“[Losing] Irina is like a death. Suffered from the separation but we have to move forward and overcome,” she told Portuguese daily Correio da Manha.

She further said that break up between the two shouldn’t be exaggerated a great deal and added that her brother isn't moaning over spilt and is happy.

“This separation was like a normal couple. Finished and ready. Finished and ready. Now is to move on,” Elma said. “He's fine with or without a woman on the side. He's happy.”

Ronaldo confirmed the news, through a statement of the couple calling it quits in January earlier this year and wished her best for her future. “After dating for five years, my relationship with Irina Shayk has come to an end. I wish Irina the greatest happiness,” the statement read.

In a recent interview, Shayk said that she had earlier thought that Ronaldo was her ideal man and also hinted that the 30-year-old made her feel ‘ungly and insecure’.

'I thought I had once found the ideal man but it didn't turn out that way. I think a woman feels ugly when she's got the wrong man at her side. I've felt ugly and insecure,” she told Hola magazine.
