Cuadrado: I need to work hard and be ready when the chance arrives

Juan Cuadrado hasn't exactly set the Premier League alight since his arrival in January. With little time to really make an impact in games and as yet, not being named in the starting eleven, the Colombian revealed that it will take a little time to settle down.
He said:
“I am happy. I am adapting to the city, the game and the new teammates. The Premier League is a little bit different to the Italian league. The transition from defence to attack is very fast. After a change a player needs to be patient. I have just started. I need to work hard and when the chance arrives be ready for it.”

It must be hard to come in halfway through a season, to not feature in much football, just ten or fifteen minutes here and there and then expect to settle down into our League and our culture. Going from regular first team football to playing a bit part has to be difficult but the signs are good.

Granted, when he has come on and tried and trick or two, he has been found out or lost the ball so he needs to improve that side of his game.

The talent is there and I am sure under the guidance of one of the best man managers around, Cuadrado will become as good as Willian has in our team.

Let's hope he gets some all important game time between now and the end of the season!
