Barcelona are being forced to offer their talented midfielder, Carles Alena, a professional contract to fend off an interest from Manchester City. Former Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola is aware of Alena's potential and wants to bring him to the Etihad next summer.

West Ham are planning to sign Juventus’ out of favour striker Mario Madzukic in January to solve their goal-scoring woes, according to reports from Calciomercato. Slaven Bilic has failed to bring out the best from Simone Zaza and other forwards and has been forced to look for other options in the upcoming transfer window.
Mandzukic is currently the third choice striker for Juventus and is prepared to quit the club after signing for the Serie A champions in 2015.
