Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea has talked about speculation linking him with a move to Spanish giants Real Madrid. The 24-year-old, currently out with a dislocated finger, revealed that he had read about the Real Madrid rumours but he feels wanted and loved at Old Trafford. A possible swap deal involving gareth Bale has also been talked about in the press. The lanky shot-stopper had said that he had considered leaving United to move back to Spain early in his Premier league career.

The former Atletico Madrid man has had a brilliant season pulling off some brilliant saves and is one of the few shining lights of Manchester United’s disappointing season so far. Seen as a natural heir to the ageing Iker Casillas, Real Madrid appear keen to secure his services for the long-term. With 18 months left on his contract and renewal talks moving at a snail’s pace, there is also speculation that he might move to Spain on a free transfer.

“It is difficult to say whether a bid will be made by Real, because of all the rumours that appear in the press.” he said.

“In Manchester I feel wanted. If you took seriously what is written about you, you'd almost think you're going to a thousand clubs.

“So the best you can do is pay attention to where you are. ‘I feel very loved by Man United.” he ended.
