Fake FB Wall: David De Gea and Florentino Perez speak out on Facebook after botched transfer

The transfer of Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea to Real Madrid fell through when it wasn’t completed before the transfer deadline on 31 August 2015

The David De Gea transfer saga has kept fans from both Manchester United and Real Madrid at the edge of their seats the entire summer. The Spanish goalkeeper was looking to move back to his home country and United seemed resigned to losing him now rather than risk losing him for free.

However, what transpired on deadline day will never be forgotten for years to come. Real Madrid failed to complete the transfer before the stipulated deadline and the goalkeeper will now have to play the remainder of the 2015/16 season at Old Trafford – unless Madrid try again in January.

So how does De Gea feel about the whole episode? Reports suggested he was already in Madrid waiting for the transfer to go through, only to be cruelly told that it wasn’t going to happen.
