The Brazilian’s false 9 position provides him with lots of goalscoring chances

The international break like always brought along with it lots of injuries and knocks, which means that we may have to rejig our team now. Gameweek 12 of the Premier League promises to be a thriller and will feature the big match which puts arch rivals Jose Mourinho and Arsene Wenger against each other.

The Manchester United manager may be struggling, but has a perfect record against his Arsenal counterpart and has never lost to him in a competitive fixture. On the other hand, Arsenal look in great shape at the moment and if Wenger wants to finish his winless streak against his opponent, this may truly be the ideal time.

Elsewhere, Chelsea and Liverpool with swashbuckling performances in the last gameweek have occupied the top two positions on the points table.

A new gameweek means a new look at our teams and here are 5 players we believe could power your Fantasy Premier League team for this week.

#5 Roberto Firmino

Liverpool are on a roll this season and have left no stone unturned when it comes to scoring. The frontline has bamboozled oppositions and won games by outscoring the other team by huge margins. In the midst of all these things, Roberto Firmino stands tall.

The player is certainly someone we should consider at the moment since he is Klopp’s favoured choice for the forward role. Liverpool’s next fixture is against Southampton who have not been great in their past few matches. The Saints lost their last fixture to Hull City who themselves have been struggling for quite some time.

The Brazilian’s false 9 position provides him with lots of goalscoring chances and this is the key reason he should be in your team.

#4 Marcos Alonso

The player has dominated from the left wing back position

Antonio Conte has well and truly changed the current Chelsea team and has certainly brought a lot of defensive stability to his side. The Blues have kept a total of 5 consecutive clean sheets. Marcos Alonso currently leads Chelsea with an average of four tackles a game and is third when it comes to clearances.

The player has dominated from the left wing back position and can be seen moving the ball forward a lot. His stock has continued to rise and it would be essential to grab him at this stage before it shoots up further.

A fixture against Middlesbrough should not be a tough task when it comes to the defensive side of the game. Alonso is the ideal pick if you’re looking at someone who not only brings points through clean sheets but can also help you with forward contributions.

#3 Tom Heaton

Heaton’s form and Burnley’s fixture are reasons enough to put our trust in him

The goalkeeper has been a hero for Burnley fans as he has saved his team quite a lot of times. The keeper is a brilliant shot stopper and has certainly been a favourite amongst FPL veterans for quite some time.

A player like him is available at a cut price of just 4.8m and has a good probability of giving returns which can be attributed to his high save ratio. Burnley’s next fixture is against West Bromwich and the Baggies have shown almost negligible offensive threat after losing Nacer Chadli to a knee injury. Moreover, Heaton’s form and Burnley’s fixture are reasons enough to put our trust in him.

#3 Sam Vokes

The striker has done well as a lone striker in Sean Dyche’s new 4-2-3-1 formation

The Welsh striker is a new name that is on everyone’s wishlist after a brilliant performance for Burnley against Crystal Palace. Vokes has now scored two of the fastest goals in the season and is quite easily the biggest goal threat from his team.

The player can be slotted in your team for a measly 6.2m, and is truly a bang for buck player if thing work out. Vokes has scored thrice and assisted once in his last four league games and continues to be a shining star in the Burnley team.

The forward will lead the line against West Bromwich, a team who have not kept a single clean sheet in their last 8 league games. The striker has done well as a lone striker in Sean Dyche’s new 4-2-3-1 formation and it would be interesting to see how things pan out for him since he is in a tough competition with Andre Gray for the starting spot, if the formation continues to be the same.

Next 3 Fixtures: West Brom(A), Manchester City(H), Stoke City(A)

#1 Kevin de Bruyne

De Bruyne’s assist for Aguero’s goal against Middlesbrough was simply world class

Manchester City’s star midfielder is the main creative and attacking force of Pep Guardiola’s team. City’s attacking shortcomings at time were clearly visible when the Belgian was out on the sidelines due to an injury.

However, he is now fit and without a doubt a main part of the team. His assist for Aguero’s goal against Middlesbrough was simply world class. The midfielder is also a constant threat from set pieces and is surely worth the premium price that he is available at.

His next fixture is against Crystal Palace who have been dismantled by top oppositions this year. The London club’s defensive vulnerability makes De Bruyne a solid choice for this coming gameweek.
