Liverpool to re-sign Fernando Torres?

Today’s Ridiculous Rumour of the Day claims that Liverpool have enquired about the availability of Fernando Torres and have been told they can have him for £25 million. Bargain!

Torres left Liverpool to join Chelsea in 2011 for £50 million, having scored 65 goals in 102 league games. However he’s not reflected that form at any point in his Chelsea career and has constantly been linked back to his former club, who despite having two in-form strikers in the league, are always – apparently – interested in bringing him back.

I’m sure most people are quite sure that Liverpool won’t be interested in Torres given that Luis Suarez (22) has scored more league goals this season than Torres (19) has since joining Chelsea.

I think it’s safe to say this transfer rumour isn’t true, and Fernando Torres will not be re-joining Liverpool for £25m.
