Barcelona’s incredible team won La Liga again last year

FC Barcelona had been crowned champions of Spain earlier this year after they edged out rivals Real Madrid by a single point to claim back-to-back league titles. The team consists of some of the best players in the world for every position and they have excelled under the guidance of Spanish manager Luis Enrique.

The latest edition of the FIFA game is just around the corner and expected to be launched soon.

Here are the official FIFA 17 ratings for the Barcelona players.


Jordi Alba: 86 Overall

Jordi Alba was impressive in the previous season

The highly talented Spanish Left-back has been rated 86 in FIFA 17 (compared to 84 in FIFA 16) after an impressive 2015/16 season for Barcelona and is easily one of the best Left-backs available in the game. The 27-year-old is known for his speed and has been rated 93 for pace, 83 for dribbling and 81 for defending.

Gerard Pique: 86 Overall

The consistent Gerard Pique

The tall spanish Center-back receives an improved rating of 86 in FIFA 17 (from 85 in FIFA 16) after consistently performing well in the previous season. Pique has been rated a solid 86 for defending and 76 for physicality as he has been known to score occasionally from set-piece situations.

Sergio Busquets: 87 Overall

Sergio Busquets is the perfect screen to protect Barca’s back four

Busquets has been a crucial player in the defence for Barcelona and receives a slight improvement in his official FIFA 17 rating (86 in FIFA 16).

The 28-year-old defensive midfielder has been rated 83 for defending and 81 for physicality. Busquets also has the ability to build up play and receives 79 for his passing skills and 74 for dribbling.

Ivan Rakitic: 87 Overall

Ivan Rakitic has excellent vision and passing

The Croatian midfielder has improved tremendously since moving to Barcelona in 2014. Rakitic has been given an improved rating of 87 (from 84 in FIFA 16) after a string of good performances in the previous season as well as the recently concluded Euros in France.

Rakitic’s main strengths are his passing and shooting for which he has received 86 and 84 respectively.

Andres Iniesta: 88 Overall

Iniesta’s experience is vital for the Barcelona team

Midfield Maestro Andres Iniesta receives an unchanged rating 87 Overall (87 in FIFA 16 as well). An exceptional dribbler of the ball, Iniesta has been given a rating of 90 for his dribbling skills and 87 for his immaculate passing abilities.

Iniesta has often been responsible for taking the play forward and will be expected to maintain his high standards this season.

Luis Suarez: 92 Overall

Luis Suarez had a fantastic season last year

Top-scorer of the previous season with 40 goals, Luis Suarez has unleashed his true potential since his move to Barcelona in 2014 and fully deserves his high rating in FIFA 17 (from 90 in FIFA 16).

A strong finisher in front of goal, the 29-year-old has been rated 90 for shooting, 87 for dribbling and 82 for pace.

Neymar: 92 Overall

Neymar also had a wonderful season last year

The incredibly gifted winger is the third highest rated player in FIFA 17 at the age of only 24. Neymar has received a big boost to 92 overall (from 88 in FIFA 16) after scoring 24 goals in the previous season and also helping Brazil win ‘Gold’ in the Rio Olympics.

The Brazilian has been rated 95 for dribbling, 91 for pace and 84 for shooting.

Lionel Messi: 93 Overall

Lionel Messi is one rating behind Ronaldo on FIFA 17

Arguably Barcelona’s best player, Leo Messi receives a rating of 93 and is only behind Cristiano Ronaldo as the best player in FIFA 17. The Argentine footballer has been rated as the best dribbler in FIFA 17 with a rating of 96, 90 for shooting, 89 for pace and 86 for passing.
