Manchester United starlet Adnan Januzaj may have to wait longer for his official Belgium debut as FIFA may rule the clash against Luxembourg as a practice match instead of an international friendly. The reason for this FIFA decision is because Belgium manager Marc Wilmots made seven substitutions instead of the allowed six.

Adnan Januzaj came on in the second half and got an assist to his name.

It’s worth mentioning that Januzaj had the option of playing for Kosovo, Albania and even England were said to be vying for his service.

The sixth substitution was made in the 77th minute when defender Jan Vertonghen was replaced by Nicolas Lombaerts.

Belgium’s next warm-up match is against Tunisia which could see Adnan Januzaj and Divock Origi making their actual debuts.

Another debutant who is likely to get affected by this decision is 28-year-old goalkeeper Sammy Bossut. With Thibaut Courtois and Simon Mignolet for competition, it is hard to see him getting another opportunity.

Chelsea starlet Romelu Lukaku also has some reason to be disappointed as his hat-trick will be cleared off from his international goals-tally.

Belgium could lose as many as 10 FIFA rating points, but their ranking will remain the same.
