The governing body of world football FIFA are not happy with the security assurance they have got from the AIFF (All India Football Federation) for the U-17 FIFA World Cup. If India can provide that security then India might get the chance to host the U-17 FIFA World Cup.

A few months ago during his visit to India, FIFA general secretary Jerome Valcke mentioned in his words about the possibility of India hosting the U-17 FIFA World Cup. He mentioned at that time that they are willing to give India the chance of hosting the world cup, as this will give football a boost in the country. He also added that, to host a huge event like U-17 World Cup, India will have to produce world class infrastructure and organization with packed up security for the visiting teams and all the support staff. He also warned that if India failed to produce any of these criteria, then FIFA will not give India the permission to host the prestigious event.

Meanwhile, AIFF have already put forward their bid to host the U-17 FIFA World Cup, which is supposed to be held in 2017. Right now, FIFA’s warning about the security issue is a big concern for the federation. As per the latest report, AIFF might talk with the government on this issue at the start of the January. Kushal Das, one of the AIFF members, said, “FIFA has given us three months. I hope we can settle this security issue very soon.”
