Two days ago, we brought you a Sportskeeda exclusive which reportedly confirmed that 14 scouts from around the world including two from Arsenal and two from Manchester City would reportedly be in attendance at the Fatorda Stadium in Goa for Group C's Matchday two.

Yesterday was a great day for fans in Goa as they witnessed eight goals in the two games played with Costa Rica drawing 2-2 with Guinea and Germany falling to a shock 4-0 defeat to Iran.

According to a source present at the stadium yesterday, we have reason to believe that either one of the party, that is the Arsenal scouts or the Manchester City scouts were reportedly ready to make a bid for one of the players with part of the fee being paid up front while the rest to be paid after the player joined their club.

We received this information at around 7:40 pm which was after the Costa Rica vs Guinea game and during the one-hour break before the Germany vs Iran game, with a possibility of a full-back getting signed. Nothing has been confirmed yet but let's have a look at who were the top performers in yesterday's opening game where Guinea took on Costa Rica and who might just have impressed those watching scouts.

Costa Rica's standout performer of the night was an absolute rock in goal. Guinea dominated the game and his performances certainly kept Costa Rica in the game. Guinea had 42 shots on goal with 14 of them being on target. Montenegro pulled off an astonishing nine saves in the 90 minutes.

Three saves in the first half and six saves during Guinea's onslaught in the second half earned him praise from both Costa Rica and Guinea's coaches as the Player of the Match.

Fandje Toure

Believe it or not, the young Guinean is only 14-year-old and will turn only turn 15 next month. Toure has been the standout player for Guinea not only yesterday but also in the previous game vs Iran. Though Ghana lost to Iran in the opening game he did score a brilliant goal in the 90th minute and yesterday he picked up from where he left off.

The Guinean forward scored the first equalizer for Guinea in the 30th minute and also notched picked up an assist in the 81st minute for Guinea's second equalizer. Two goals and one assist in two games for Toure.

Samuel Conte and Ibrahima Soumah

Both fullbacks had a terrific game yesterday as the coach Souleymane Camara revealed it was part of their plan to make space for the fullbacks. Conte delivered six crosses into the box, while Soumah delivered three crosses from his side.

Both fullbacks worked tirelessly up and down the flanks, contributing equally to defence and attack. Right-back Ibrahima Soumah also scored Guinea's second equalizer in the 81st minute that helped them earn a point.

Besides these four players who were the star players of yesterday's game, there were also decent performances from Costa Rica striker Andres Gomez who scored his second goal of the tournament and Yecxy Jarquin who had a great game utilizing his pace to make blistering runs past the Guinean defense and even scoring the opening goal of the game.
