Manchester City will look to increase their lead at the top of the table

Action resumes today as Premier League returns in its sixth week with many blockbuster encounters to watch out for this game week. Arsenal face Chelsea in the London derby tonight and the champions, Leicester City visit Manchester United who are looking to bounce back after a dismal last week. Fantasy managers will have their work out in gameweek 6 so we decided to hand out some FPL tips for the upcoming matches :

Goalkeeper

Pickford has impressed this season with his shot stopping abilities

Tom Heaton has been influential for Burnley and has 21 points in his 5 games. At just £4.3 million, Heaton is a safe bet as Burnley welcome Watford and have a good home record this season. Loris Karius who is all set to make his league debut for Liverpool can be another smart choice. Considering he is valued at just £4.9 million and also looking at Liverpool's next fixtures, Karius can guarantee some good points for the fantasy managers.

Big names like Thibaut Courtois and David De Gea should be avoided for now as both the teams are struggling with their defence and face tough opponents in the coming weeks. Jordan Pickford can be a smart option at just £4 million as the youngster has impressed at Sunderland and will give bonus points for the number of saves that he'll make.

Defenders

Kyle Walker is the most successful defender in FPL this season

Gareth McCauley is a must in defence with his present form in which he has garnered 23 points and has a team ownership of 25%. A popular choice at the moment considering West Brom play Stoke next who are last on the league table. Kyle Walker is another popular choice and is the highest scoring defender this season with 33 points. Spurs face Middlesborough and can have a good game against the minnows.

Leighton Baines can be a smart option at £5.6 million with a prospect of a clean sheet against Bournemouth. Chelsea and United defenders should be avoided for the next 2-3 weeks.

Capoue has surprisingly emerged as the player with most FPL points this season

Midfielders

Nacer Chadli and Etienne Capoue have emerged as the most popular choice since their exploits for their respective teams in recent weeks. Capoue has the most points this FPL and will look to continue his rich vein of form against Burnley. Kevin de Bruyne is another player who is essential to have in mind with the player running riots in midfield and though he is priced at £10.8 million, the Belgian can be an able replacement for Eden Hazard who has tough fixtures for the Blues.

A duo of Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane are another obvious choices. Nathan Redmond along with Robert Snodgrass are some of the smart choices that the managers can make at a lower price.

Forwards

Sergio Aguero returns from suspension and is the obvious captain choice against Swansea

Diego Costa is the top scorer and can be a handful against Arsenal. Sergio Aguero returns after his suspension and may replace Zlatan Ibrahimovic in many teams around the world. Vincent Janssen is about to start for Spurs in Kane's absence and might be an inspired choice. The impact of Alvaro Negredo is fading and Troy Deeney should be taking his place in your time after the Watford captain scored two goals in his last two games.

Captain

Sergio Aguero is an obvious choice after his return as City face Swansea in what is expected to be a routine victory for Pep Guardiola. Roberto Firmino will be up against Hull defence and might pose many problems for the newcomers. Riyadh Mahrez is another shrewd choice as the Algerian will be up against Marcos Rojo as Luke Shaw is out with an injury.
