Wesley Sneijder celebrates after scoring against Fenerbahce

The Intercontinental derby between Galatasaray and Fenerbahce ended 2-1 in favour of The Lions courtesy of two brilliantly executed long range goals from Wesley Sneijder.

The Dutch midfielder displayed his class in the encounter between the two Super Lig giants, first in the 88th minute with a pile driving shot from 35 yards, and then in the 90th minute, with another superbly taken shot which was buried into the top left corner of the net.

Fenerbahce also netted a goal in the final minutes of normal time, but it served only as a consolation as Sneijder’s brace ensured a victory for Gala against their Istanbul rivals.
