Video: Gareth Bale scores incredible goal in training from ridiculous angle

Bale heads into the international break in a rich vein of form after starring in Real Madrid’s 5-0 win over Real Betis

Gareth Bale might feel under pressure on club duty, but there’s no doubting who’s top dog when the Wales national team meet up. The Real Madrid attacker scored two goals for his club before the international break and looked confident in Wales training earlier today.

The Welsh superstar, previously under fire from a section of Madrid fans, has kicked off the 2015-16 season in spectacular fashion under Rafa Benitez, coming off a two-goal, one assist performance last week in Real Madrid's 5-0 win over Real Betis.

Wales currently top Group B for Euro 2016 qualifiers with 14 points from 6 games and are unbeaten in the competition. They face Cyprus in their next match in a return leg.

Coach Chris Coleman’s side finished the first encounter in Cardiff last October a man down after Andy King saw red for a bad challenge, but numerous Cyprus players were fortunate to stay on with five bookings shown. Bale himself was repeatedly fouled by Cypriot defenders, seemingly as part of a tactic to unsettle the Real Madrid forward.

Bale scores ridiculous goal in training

No longer content with simply keeping the ball on the pitch, the world’s most expensive footballer has proven that he can score from behind the goal too.

The key man for Wales ahead of their Euro 2016 qualifiers against Cyprus and Israel, Bale curled a seemingly impossible effort into the bottom corner from the edge of the training pitch. Adept at free kicks, no stranger to hitting belters and capable of solo brilliance, the 25-year-old can also score ridiculous behind-the-goal goals too.

He might not be able to repeat the trick in the upcoming international clashes, but Wales can qualify for the European finals in France if they win both matches, and the Blancos superstar is sure to be central to their chances.
