German Nicolai Adam appointed India Under-17 coach for 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup

Nicolai Adam - the new Head Coach of Indian U-17 National Fotball Team

The All India Football Federation has officially confirmed the appointment of German Nicolai Adam as the Head Coach of the India Under-17 National Team for the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup to be hosted by India.

Mr. Adam, an UEFA Pro Licence holder is presently working as the Head Coach of the Under-19 National Team of Azerbaijan and will take charge from April 1, 2015.

Nicolai has also served as the National Coach for the Under-16 and U-17 National Teams of Azerbaijan and has guided the country's Under-19 National Team to the Elite Group of eight UEFA Under-19 nations.

Besides, he has also worked as the International Football Development Advisor of the German Football Association (DFB) and was the UEFA Head of Coach Education in Azerbaijan.

Nicolai, a German by birth has also completed his Masters Degree in Sports Science with specialization in performance diagnostics and injury prevention.

AIFF General Secretary Kushal Das congratulated Nicolai Adam on the job. "We are pleased to have him on board. He comes with great credentials and recommendations and his experience, I hope will help us immensely to field a competitive Team for the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup.”
