Chelsea retained the FA Youth Cup trophy courtesy of a 2-1 win over Manchester City in the second leg of the tournament’s final. Having won 3-1 in the first leg, it was a mere formality for the Blues in the second leg.
Kelechi Iheanacho’s close range finish had put doubts into the Londoners, but Izzy Brown equalized on the night to restore Chelsea’s two-goal advantage in the tie.
Tammy Abraham scored the final goal on the night to give Chelsea the win on the night and help them retain the FA Youth Cup trophy.
Owner Roman Abramovich, Technical Director Michael Emenalo and Chairman Bruce Buck were present to see the youngsters lift the trophy
