Highlights: Chelsea loanee Mohamed Salah ends Juventus' 47-match unbeaten home record

Mohamed Salah
Chelsea loanee Mohamed Salah had another night to remember as Fiorentina beat Juventus in the first leg of Coppa Italia semi-finals.

Fiorentina clinched a shock 2-1 win after beating Juventus at home in the first leg of the Coppa Italia semi-finals. Chelsea loanee Mohamed Salah continued his fine scoring run for his new club with a brace against the reigning Italian champions.

Salah, who has been on loan to Fiorentina as a part of the deal which saw Juan Cuadrado move to Chelsea in January, has now scored six goals in his last seven matches since the start of his loan spell in Italy.

Salah’s opened the scoring with a stunning solo effort on the 11th minute. Juventus’s Spanish striker Fernando Llorente restored parity on the 24th minute with a trademark headed goal.

But the Egyptian got his team back in the lead on the 56th minute, with a cool angled finish.

Salah’s brace at Turin condemned Serie A leaders Juventus to a 2-1 loss and ended the Old Lady's 47-game unbeaten home run.

Juventus 0-1 Fiorentina: Salah (11’)

On the 11th minute, Fiorentina fashioned a counter from a Juventus corner. Salah picked up the ball, sprinted 60 yards and beat the defenders with sheer pace before unleashing a fine shot from inside the box to beat Juve’s stand-in keeper Marco Storari.

Juventus 1-1 Fiorentina: Llorente (24’)

On the 24th minute, Fernando Llorente rose above the La Viola defence to head in from a superb cross by Simone Pepe from the right flank.

Juventus 1-2 Fiorentina: Salah (56’)

As both teams pressed for a winner, Juventus midfielder Claudio Marchisio lost the ball in his own half. Salah pounced on the loose ball, carried it into box and coolly slotted it into the bottom corner to restore Fiorentina’s lead.

Salah might be scoring his goals for Fiorentina, but his popularity among his team-mates back at Stamford Bridge was evident on social media, with Chelsea players tweeting plaudits on the Egyptian’s performance for the night.

Here’s Hazard’s reaction.

Chelsea legend Didier Drogba also seems to be a part of the ‘Mo Salah’ fan club.
