Liverpool welcomed back Champions League football at Anfield after a five-year hiatus with an unconvincing 2-1 win against debutants Ludogorets.
The Bulgarian champions kept last season’s Premier league runner-ups out for most of the game as the home side failed to create too many chances of note.
