Arsene Wenger has re-discovered the feeling of winning trophies after back to back FA Cup success

After ending their trophy drought last year by winning the FA Cup for the 11th time, Arsene Wenger led Arsenal to their record 12th time FA Cup win, becoming the most successful manager in the history of the competition. With the summer transfer window open, Wenger and his Arsenal are looking at strengthening their squad for next season.

With the fans not wanting Wenger's sacking now, it is clear that everyone at the club is expecting new signings in defense as well as in attack. Petr Cech who was widely rumored to leave Chelsea is finally an Arsenal player.

Hence, we can say that Wenger is already up for the battle he now faces in leading the club to the Premier League title. It is also clear that the Frenchman is not close to retirement anytime soon.

There have been times when the fans have called for the sacking of the man who has been at the helm of Arsenal for 18 seasons now. But winning three trophies including the Community Shield are encouraging signs for the fans.

Years of patience

All these years of hard work and patience is finally starting to pay off it seems. Arsenal, with the signing of Petr ?ech, seem like title contenders already. Although it is inevitable that Wenger will be looking to make additions to his already dynamic squad.

With Abou Diaby already been released by the club, Lukas Podolski and Joel Campbell are also expected to leave. New signings are possible and fans want the best players to be at Arsenal. Wenger will be looking at strengthening his defense and also find a defensive midfielder with the likes of William Carvalho being in the news.

The fact of the matter is that after all the tough times for Arsene and Arsenal, it looks like the glory period of the Arsenal is going to come sooner rather than later. With all the criticism that Wenger has faced over the trophy drought years, he must be adamant to make his mark on the fans and the history books of football.

So the real question is will the Gunners fans be holding 'In Arsene We Trust' banners again or will we be talking about the same problems Arsenal face every year?
