Sporting Clube de Goa were reduced to ten men towrads the end

The ten men of Sporting Clube de Goa were held to a goalless draw by Royal Wahingdoh FC in their I-League match at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Margao on Tuesday afternoon. Sporting Goa created three great chances in the opening five minutes, with Odafe Onyeka Okolie, Anthony Wolfe and Victorino Fernandes all coming close.

Royal Wahingdoh was literally pinned back into their own half for the whole of the first half. In the second half, Royal Wahingdoh started to open up a little and play with some risk. Sporting Goa upped the tempo midway through the half with the introduction of creative midfielder Brandon Fernandes, but the North-East side had the better of the exchanges.

In the closing stages, Sporting Goa were reduced to ten men when defender Jovel Martins was sent off after receiving his second yellow card of the match. Sporting Goa defender Sandesh Jhinghan was adjudged the Hero of the match
