Zlatan Ibrahimovic has jumped the gun and welcomed Angel Di Maria to PSG, even though the winger hasn’t officially signed from the French club yet.
Di Maria failed to report for Man United’s pre season tour yesterday, missing United’s game with Barcelona and when asked about his whereabouts after Man United manager Louis Van Gaal replied:
“He was not on the plane.
“Marcos Rojo was also not on the plane. He has had a passport issue, from Angel Di Maria I don’t know why. I cannot say anything.”
Di Maria’s decision to go AWOL will likely pre-empt his move to PSG and with Laurent Blanc constantly pushing for the move in the press, it seems Di Maria will be a PSG player soon rather than later.
And with the move likely to take place in the near future it appears that PSG star striker Ibrahimovic has got his wired cross, welcoming the player to France as if he has already signed:
“Welcome to him, he will bring his qualities, he is a good player. With him, the team will be better.”
