IFA Shield fixtures adjusted due to late arrival of foreign teams

The Indian Football Association (West Bengal), who the organisers of the 118th IFA Shield, have revised the remaining fixtures of the tournament after agreeing to have the final scheduled for February 15.

Under normal circumstances the tournaments group stage would have ended yesterday, but due to the late arrivals of Singapore’s Geylang International FC and Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club of Bangladesh, their opening fixtures had to be rescheduled. Now both teams play their final group match on Saturday, February 8.

In the afternoon match, Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club take on Mohun Bagan AC at 3pm; while in the evening encounter United SC take on Geylang International FC at 6pm. Both matches would be played at the Saltlake Stadium.

The semifinals have been rescheduled for Tuesday, February 11; with the Third Place Playoff set for Thursday, February 13 and the final now slated for Saturday, February 15.
