FC Goa

Rafael Dumas
Rafael Dumas was one of Goa's bright spots on the night

Laxmikant Kattimani - 6/10

There was little Kattimani could have done about either Chennaiyin goal. Apart from that, he made a crucial intervention to thwart Succi in the second half.

Raju Gaikwad - 5/10

Raju could not go forward with any conviction nor did he really do anything to shackle Jayesh. Zico will expect much more from the experienced defender.

Lucio - 5/10

The Goa captain was not his usual self as he allowed Succi to dictate where the Goa defenders went. Maybe, it was an injury that he picked sometime during the game, but he did not impose himself on Chennaiyin's attackers at all. He was substituted at half-time.

Rafael Dumas - 7/10

He was one of Goa's bright spots on the night. He was mostly in the right place at the right time, and largely kept Succi and Dudu from posing a real threat to Kattimani's goal.

Fulganco Cardozo - 6/10

Baljit's work rate meant that Cardozo couldn't go forward too much. But defensively, he was aided by Baljit's lack of quality on the ball.

Sanjay Balmuchu - 5/10

The young Indian tried hard but he was overshadowed by Chennaiyin's perfect tactical setup in midfield.

Trindade Goncalves - 4/10

A very disappointing performance. With Tavora and Sanjay alongside, he was expected to be their leader in midfield, but he let the pressure get to him with too many loose touches and passes.

Sahil Tavora – 4/10

He seemed to lack confidence. There were many occasions, especially in the second half, to have a shot on goal, but preferred to track back and pass it instead.

Jofre Gonzalez - 4/10

No influence at all from Goa's mercurial Spaniard. He tried hard to press Chennaiyin's defenders but never found support from his teammates.

Rafael Coelho - 5/10

He was a peripheral figure in the game. He couldn't make the kind of impact Goa would have wanted him to.

Reinaldo - 4/10

Very quiet game for Goa's top scorer from last season. He was very well marshalled by Sabia and Riise.

Substitutes

Julio Cesar
Julio Cesar seemed to spark Goa into life after coming on for Jofre

Richarlyson - 5/10

He came on for Lucio at half-time but there was no real impact from him.

Julio Cesar - 6/10

He seemed to spark Goa into life after coming on for Jofre. He got into good attacking positions but Riise and co. did well to repel any threats.

Romeo Fernandes - 5/10

He did not do what he was brought on for, as Jerry stood up strong against him.
