Chennaiyin FC extended their lead at the top of the Hero Indian Super League standings to five points after beating Kerala Blasters 1-0 at the Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium in Kochi on Sunday evening. On the performance
I was expecting a response from my players because I had told them before the game that a big team doesn't give two bad performances. I was delighted with their attitude throughout the game.
On if anything could have been done better
Of course, there is always room for improvement but we were patient today. I expected Kerala to press us early on but it was us who were pressing in the first 20 minutes. Then in the second half we took our one great chance with Bruno doing well after coming on.
