2nd Inter-College Uth Football League’15, presented by KickOff Solutions, in association with ‘Real Sports Association’ came to a close with exciting two days of matches to decide the 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions this year.

The entire league had 24 groups stage matches and 8 knock-out stage matches over a period of 10 days. The matches were held at Jamia Milia Grounds, Thyagraj Stadium and Shivaji College grounds. Last four semi-finalists this year were Zakir Hussain Delhi (M), Motilal Nehru (E), Jamia Milia Islamia and Indira Gandhi Institute of Physical Education & Sports Science.

The league was well supported by renowned brands – LG Smartphones (Associate Sponsors) who provided the Jerseys for all the #16 Playing Teams, Max Healthcare Speciality Hospitals , which provided emergency paramedic support & Ambulances at all the match venues, Sportskeeda – which covered the entire league on the top online sports news platform and Delhi Football Association which provided AIFF certified referees and match commissioners for all matches.

The semi-finals on Nov.4th were close contests; the first semi-final was won by Jamia Milia 2-0 beating IGIPESS (Abhay Rana & Shaheen John scored the goals). In the second semi-final, Motilal Nehru took the lead through a goal by Mukesh, which was leveled by Pranjal (Zakir Hussain); but Zakir Hussain won on penalties 6-5.

Jamia Milia Islamia won the 2nd Inter-College Uth League’15 after defeating Zakir Hussain Delhi College (Mor) by 1-0 in the extra time after the match ended in a goalless draw. Earlier to that, Motilal Nehru College (Eve) defeated IGIPESS 1-0 (penalty strike) to secure the 3rd position in this year’s league. In last year’s inaugural Uth League, Zakir Hussain were the champions and Motilal Nehru (Eve) won 2nd position, with Ram Lal Anand coming 3rd.

The League ended with the awards ceremony, with Mitul Biswas, Director-KickOff Solutions welcoming the Guest of Honors – Mr.Syed Shaheen, Secretary – Delhi Football Association & Mr. Jagdish Malhotra (DSA Referee Secretary). The finals also saw some key dignitaries reaching the Thyagraj Stadium – Mr. Hemchand, Treasurer DSA and Mr. N.K. Bhatia, Vice President – Delhi Football Association.

Mr. Subrotah Biswas, Founder & CEO along with Mr. Manoj Chaudhary, Director Real Sports Association also announced the ‘Girls Football League’ which would be organized later this year with top girls college teams participating.
