Chelsea's English defender John Terry after winning match against Stoke City

Chelsea captain John Terry has claimed that he is not willing to get carried away with his team on top of the Premier League and feels that Manchester teams can still challenge the Stamford Bridge team for the title. The England international scored the opening goal in their 2-0 win over Stoke City, which moved Chelsea three points ahead of their nearest challengers Manchester City.

Manchester United and City can still challenge us for the title: Terry

Chelsea have won their three league titles after leading the Premier League till Christmas but the 34-year-old is not ready to believe in the history and accept the title as of yet. It is reported that while talking to Sky Sports, Terry claimed :

"You look at City, they've kind of come from nowhere really. Man United are back in the fold as well.

With the good teams around us, they can put a run of five or seven games together and all of a sudden they're back in it.

It was an important win for us to secure that top spot for Christmas but it's a long way to go.”
He added."We've got a tough game at home against West Ham (on Boxing Day) which was difficult last year.

It's game by game at the moment." The centre back concluded.

Chelsea is next scheduled to play West Ham United on Boxing Day.
