Jose Mourinho talks about rejecting PSG twice and possibility of taking Portugal job

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho reveals that he was Paris Saint-Germain’s first choice to be the club’s manager.

The Portuguese manager said that he turned down PSG twice in the past.

He also admitted that he would love to face PSG in the Champions League final.

I was PSG’s first choice: Mourinho

Mourinho said on Telefoot: “I was the first choice of Leonardo.”

Leonardo Araujo is currently the Director of Football at Paris Saint-Germain.

“I said no to PSG twice,” added Mourinho.

Chelsea were almost eliminated in last season’s Champions League quarter-finals by the Ligue 1 champions after losing the first leg 3-1 in Paris. But they managed to advance on away goals after winning 2-0 at Stamford Bridge.

PSG under Blanc can win the Champions League: Mourinho

Speaking about the club its manager Laurent Blanc, Mourinho said: “Paris can win the Champions League.

“It would be fantastic to have Chelsea-PSG in the final.

“Paris is in good hands, Laurent Blanc is a good manager,” he concluded.

Mourinho to take the Portugal job in the future?

When asked about taking up the responsibility of the Portugal national team, he said he was in no hurry to take over the reins yet.

“To become Portugal's coach ? The country awaits it,” he said.

“I'm at the half-time of my career, I still have 15 years.”
