Mourinho to allow this Chelsea defender to leave in January?

Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma could be sent on loan this January

According to the reports that appeared yesterday, Jose Mourinho is prepared to allow Kurt Zouma to leave Chelsea on loan for the remainder of this season with Besiktas being his likely destination.

Now before I say anything else on this, it IS important to remember the quotes Jose Mourinho has made recently stating that he is happy with his squad and no one will be coming in or leaving Stamford Bridge.

Of course that could all change as players agents see the possibility to line their pockets next month and without question, we are going to hear all sorts of players being linked with Chelsea and our players being linked with moves away! So to Zouma and the reported loan move.

My initial thoughts are that it would be good for him because up to this stage he has played a bit part this season and at the age he is, it's important that he plays regular football to continue to develop.

He is far from the finished article and looks as though his touch on the ball needs to be a lot better but you can see the huge potential he has coupled with the highest "leap" for headers I think I have ever seen! The reports state that Chelsea would command a fee for the loan to Turkey that would see Zouma link up with Demba Ba and Besiktas are more than happy to pay it. If Zouma goes, I believe we should be able to cope.

Ivanovic acts as cover and Andreas Christensen would also be an option if required. Cesar Azpilicueta can revert back to the right hand side if required to allow Filipe Luis to continue at left back. What do you think of these reports and if they are true, the loan move for Zouma?
