Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has raised expectations at Anfield after by setting a target of one trophy every year, following his signing of a four-year contract extension at the Premier League club.

Klopp disclosed the decision of his staying at the club for longer, with the reason that seems to be a rather positive response. He further explained his thoughts on life in England and confessed that he is already cherishing it. However, he insisted that he wouldn’t settle until the moment where he enjoys the silverware with all of Liverpool.

"I would like to celebrate in six years, six times after six seasons, each time really celebrate something. That would be great," the German told the Premier League Show.

"Driving on a big bus through Liverpool, celebrating with 700,000 people. I'd love to do that. That would be nice."

On extending his contract by a further four years, Klopp confessed it was an easy decision to make given his natural acclimatisation to surroundings. He said: "It was so easy to say yes. I've said it before, the club would have found another manager, I would have found another club. It's not about having no alternative, it's about thinking 'yes, let's do it'. It was around the Brexit decision so everyone was thinking what would happen, and I really liked giving a sign that we are still Europe. Whatever happens, we are still Europe. I live here, we are so similar.

Klopp continued speaking about adapting to life in England after years of faithful service to Borussia Dortmund. The same long tenure is expected of him at Anfield and Klopp is optimistic that he’ll be able to make every year count. Moments away from winning trophies in his debut campaign in England, Klopp has vowed to win at least a trophy every season hereafter.

"OK, we are quite different in a lot of things, especially what we eat, but we are so similar. I feel really good in this moment, and, hopefully, after six years, we will look back and think it wasn't a waste of time, it was good."

In his first season at Liverpool, Klopp guided the club to two finals but failed to win either the Europa League or the League Cup. They lost out to Sevilla in the Europa League final, as the Spanish side completed a hattrick of European titles, while Manchester City edged them in a penalty shoot-out to take victory in the League Cup final.
