U19 Mohammedan SC 0-2 U19 East Bengal (Buddha Bera 41', Suman Majumder 67')
U19 Mohammedan Sporting Club conceded in either end of the pitch to began U19 I-League zonal round campaign with 2-0 defeat from U19 East Bengal at East Bengal Club Ground here on Sunday (14 December) afternoon.
Mohammedan started off well and enjoyed the lion's share of possessions during first quarter of the match but failed to capitalize, however East Bengal soaked the early scare and surged ahead in the 41st minute through Buddha Bera. Thus sent teams into the half-time breather with the host team leading 1-0.
After resumption the boys in black and white had lost the plot completely and played some lacklustre football which resulted East Bengal's second goal in the 67th minute from Suman Majumder.
Meanwhile in remaining part of the match Mohammedan did create some attacking moves in patches but poor finishing and lack of co-ordination in upfront saw Mohammedan going down 2-0.
Mohammedan Sporting Club will host United SC next at Rajpur-Sonarpur Ground on Thursday (18 December).
