Lionel Messi was faced with a task to score beyond a giant robot in goal and in a usual typical and expected fashion, passed with flying colours successfully scoring past the inflatable keeper.

The Barcelona superstar was taking up the challenge for a Japanese game show and was tasked to score three goals beyond a massive inflatable robot in front of goal. With the inflated balloon covering most of the goal, there were three options for the Argentine to try and squeeze the ball in and he managed to get the ball into those three openings with pretty much his first attempt.

The 28-year-old has managed to score 35 goals in 41 appearances despite missing over two months of action in the early parts of the season due to an injury. The Argentine captain returned in time and along with Neymar and Luis Suarez lead the Catalans on a title-challenging run losing only in the beginning of 2016.

In this video, however, Messi finds the back of the net with ease noticing the three areas of weakness the inflated doll provided. One was the top right corner which – even though the inflatable doll's hands were often covering with the movement – still left enough of a gap for the ball to sneak in.

The second was the same but on the other side and Messi decided to try and play the ball under the hand of the doll to keep this a little easier. The last and final goal he scored was through the gap between the inflatable doll's legs.

It is still unclear in what capacity the challenge was presented to the 28-year-old Barcelona star but he managed to wow the live audience the studio had – which you can observe in the top-right of the video.
