The 4 time Balon D’Or winner recently slammed the Barcelona vice-president. Lionel Messi accused vice president Javier Faus of ‘knowing nothing about football’.

As per reports in Dailymail, the Argentine speaking to Catalan Radio RAC1 from Argentina said that “Barcelona is the best club in the world and should be represented by the best board members too. Senor [Javier] Faus is someone who doesn’t know anything about football and wants to manage Barcelona like a business, which it is not.’”

The comments are said to be a result of Javier Faus’s comment on Messi two weeks ago. He said that Barcelona had no reason to sit down with ‘this gentleman’ and discuss his current contract. The comment was deemed inappropriate by most of the Barcelona fans.

Messi also added that ” Besides, I would remind him that neither I nor anyone from my camp has asked for any wage increase and he knows that very well.”.

Barcelona are also facing a probe in the purchase of Brazilian star Neymar from Santos in the summer. It was believed that Barcelona had paid 57 million euros for the Brazilian but Santos had reported that they only received a small quantity of the amount.
