That was a dismal show by the Indian side, clearly outclassed by the Americans. All part of a learning curve for India. The have to rejuvenate themselves against the Korea Republic on the 23rd and try to end with a win. The Americans though will play their next game on 21st as they try and finish in the two qualifying positions for the Semi Final.

95’: FULL TIME: India 0- 4 USA

94’: The supporters should be lauded for staying and supporting the game even though the home team has been relatively poor.

92’: Joshua with another header. Off target.

90’: Five minutes of added time. Can the Indians get a goal back?

87’: Better from the Indians in the last ten minutes, but I have to say that not one Indian player has looked to pass the ball when at shooting range even when teammates have been in better positions. Naive.

85’: If things stay this way, the Americans will go above North Korea on Goal Difference.

84’: Good play down the right wing for India. Left footed cross into the box, easily defended by the Americans.

82’ : Komal has been the best player by far, he hasn’t stopped running throughout the game. The only player creating chances for India.

80’: The Indians look tired, the coach here must be blamed for not making wholesale changes to the Playing 11.

79’: Corner for USA. Header towards goal by the USA Number 9, easy for the Indian GK.

77’: Chance!! Finally some goal mouth action. Komal takes a shot cutting in from the left, the goalkeeper parries it, the Indians can't finish the rebound.

76’: As things stand the Indians will be the bottom of the group and Americans will be second.

75’ : The ref gives a yellow card to Number 20 for time wasting.

73’: The Americans just keeping possession now, playing the ball between their Center-Backs.

71’ : Komal goes past a player and takes a shot at goal. Easy for the American Goalkeeper.

70’: It must be noted that the Indians look tired, 15-year-olds playing the third game in five days in these conditions are bound to be sapping.

67’: That collision looked nasty. But, the American midfielder gets up thankfully. The American players protest to the ref.

65’: Bizzare scenes here, there were two balls on the ground with India in possession and the ref asks the Indian player to give the ball to the Americans. As if they needed more help.

60' : The Indians have not looked like scoring, to be honest, the Americans have been head and shoulders over their counterparts.

56’ : GOAL for USA. After a great move a low cross from the right, and an easy tap in for the striker Kevin.

49’ : The Indians are pressing higher up the field now. The Americans have made a couple of mistakes when pressured, Chetri the Indian number 9 with a chance, but slips.

46’ : The Americans are straight away on the front foot. The next goal will be important.

45’ : The players are back for the second off. The Americans who restart, attacking right to left.

Taking nothing away from the Americans, they have kept possession well and their midfielders have been decisive. A special Mention for Andrew, he has been an absolute nuisance.

Nicholai Adam has a tough team talk, the 4-5-1 formation is clearly not working, the striker is getting isolated and easily overpowered by the American defenders.

Overall a very disappointing half for the Indian fans, they started brightly but were hanging on towards the end of the half to a clearly very strong American side.

45+1’: GOAL! Third one for the USA. The Indian defense went to sleep there, and a brilliant save by the Indian keeper, there was a chance for Mohammed to clear and after he miscued his clearance, the ball went straight to the oncoming Chandler Vincent for a neat finish, and a dab celebration at the end.

43’ : The crowd has quietened down after the second goal.

42’ : CHANCE! That was almost three times in a row, Andrew takes on a player and crosses it to William, this time William heads just wide. Let off for India. Andrew creating havoc.

39’ : GOAL! That was replay of the first goal, Andrew from the left, diving header from William.

37' : Komal brought down just outside the American box. Free kick in a great position for India. Amarjeet takes it, really poor delivery, sails high over the box.

35’ : Brilliant Play on the right wing by the Americans, a quick one-two, ball into the box, the Striker with an acrobatic effort from the Striker. Didn’t connect well, cleared off.

33’ : The Americans have stepped it up a notch, two great chances for them. Mohammed has been immense at the back for India.

30’ : Foul on Komal. Free kick for the Indians. Ball put in the box, easily cleared by USA.

29’ : India has gone behind yet again in the tournament. They have shown great resilience in both their games so far. They need to do so again.

27’: GOAL! USA attack India’s left wing, Andrew who had been playing right wing, switched wings put a lovely ball into the box for a tap-in for William.

25’: Indian defense have a very astute back-line, well drilled, repeatedly catching the Americans offside.

24’ : USA Player Michael has been given a yellow card for an unnecessary foul.

22’: Amarjeet Singh the India Captain with another long range shot. Just off target, he has a sweet left foot.

15’ :Komal Thatal has been bright for the Indians, and Costa the American Captain and playing on the left of the midfield three has been the stand-out player for the American Team.

11’: Long range shot from Amarjeet the Indian Team Captain, well saved by the GK of USA. This is the first time that the goalkeeper for either team has been tested.

10’: Its been proper one-way traffic, USA have had most of the ball, the Indian defence has been resolute, though.

5’ : It has been a relatively open game till now, the Indian Team have been playing a high line, and USA have had most of the possession.

Update: Komal Thatal and Boris Singh who performed exceptionally in the game aginst Malaysia will be key for the Indians.

The Indian Youth Team have drawn one and lost one so far in the Group Stage of the AIFF Youth Cup. There is still hope for the Indian young guns if they win the remaining games against the USA and North Korea.

After a very encouraging first game against Malaysia in which the Indian Team came back from behind to salvage a 2-2 draw, they were brought back down to earth in the game against Tanzania. The Indian Coach Nicholai Adam was brutally honest in his assessment of the 1-3 loss to Tanzania, he said after the game, “Our body language was bad, especially in the second half (against Tanzania) and it gave the impression that we didn’t want much”.

Nicholai Adam has clearly set his goal for the young Indian side for the tournament, he knows that the Indians are not favorites to lift the trophy but he expects to qualify for the final four “If we even finish fourth, we get to play five matches. An extra match at this level is always a bonus.”, he added.

The USA Team drew their last match against Tanzania and will aim to get their first win against India. The US Team is a regular in International Tournaments at this level and
