Liverpool face Stoke City in Premier League opener

Stoke City, with new manager Mark Hughes, with travel to Anfield for the first game of the Premier League season.

The opening month of the season will also see the Reds take on Aston Villa away and Manchester United at home alongside a second-round Capital One Cup fixture.

Brendan Rodgers has been handed a difficult Christmas fixture list to handle, with Liverpool set to face Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City and Chelsea in December.

The reverse fixtures against Manchester City and Chelsea will both take place in April, whilst Newcastle United will travel to Merseyside for the final game of the season.
