Raheem Sterling is in hot water after footage appeared of him allegedly taking nitrous oxide. Liverpool have confirmed that they are aware of the news and will be talking to the youngster in the future.

Pictures showed the 20-year-old pass out unconscious after taking nitrous oxide, described.

This is not the first time he has been in the news this week as earlier, a report emerged which showed the Englishman smoke a shisha pipe.

A club spokesperson confirmed that the club will be speaking to the player, but said that the situation would be dealt with internally.

He said, “We are aware of the story and intend to speak to the player. Any subsequent action will be taken internally.”

Liverpool and Sterling are currently involved in a contract dispute with the player recently rejecting a new deal. Earlier, Zinedine Zidane had revealed that Real Madrid are tracking the youngster.

Sterling scored the opening goal in Liverpool’s 2-0 win over Newcastle United at Anfield today. He missed a glorious chance to double the scoreline, but Joe Allen scored late in the match to seal the win for the Reds.
