Newcastle United’s on-loan striker wants to move to Arsenal in the summer.

According to the Sunday People, a source close to the French striker has confirmed that he would like to sign for title-chasing Arsenal in the summer.

Apparently he is a big fan of Thierry Henry and sees Arsenal as the ideal place to replicate his hero.

“If Arsenal want him that’s where he will go,” the source told the newspaper.

“Where else would a big fan of Thierry Henry want to go?”

Remy has been linked to Arsenal for a long time – since his Marseille days, in fact. Last summer the French striker was linked to a move to the Emirates again but there was no movement from Arsene Wenger and Remy signed for Newcastle on a season-long loan deal from Queens Park Rangers instead.

He is the club’s top scorer this season with 13 goals in the league. The North East club are thought to be keen on permanently securing Remy’s signature in the summer but he may have some admirers after a good season in front of goal.

He has, in the past, mentioned his interest in playing in the Champions League.
