Louis van Gaal: Javier Hernandez can only play as a substitute for Manchester United

Louis van Gaal says he doesn’t want Javier Hernandez

Louis van Gaal claims that Javier Hernandez has no place in the Manchester United squad and even if he does come back he will only stay on the bench. The 26-year-old has been at Real Madrid since his loan move from United this summer.

He was key in the match against Athletico Madrid in the Champions league quarter finals, where he scored the winning goal. He followed up that performance with two goals in the 4-2 win against Celta Vigo on Sunday.

Van Gaal though made sure he was clear on the fact the there was next to no hope of the Mexican getting bak in the Dutchman’s good books.

In an interview with the Daily Star he said: “Chicharito’s future? I’ve already sent him away once.

“When you score a goal, as he has just done for Real Madrid, are you suddenly different? I don’t think so.

“I told him the same as I told Danny Welbeck, that he was again a substitute and I didn’t feel that was any good to him.”

Even if Hernandez has no place in United, there are several teams all over Europe who are interested in the Mexican with Madrid supposedly interested in making the loan deal permanent.
