Lucas Leiva drops major hint on Liverpool exit

Lucas could be off to Inter Milan by the end of this month

Speculation is high over the future of Lucas Leiva at Anfield. The Brazilian midfielder, who started in Liverpool’s 1-0 victory over Sunderland yesterday, took to twitter in a bizarre manner after the game.

He said, “Great win, Thanks for everything !!!.” This particular statement has accentuated his willingness to join Inter Milan. The 28-year old has not figured into Brendan Rodgers’ scheme of things as Liverpool have put a 7 million price tag on him.

Inter Milan are said to be front runners for his signature, but they want him on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season. Inter have applied the same negotiation tactic with Lukas Podolski’s Arsenal deal.

The Italian side are keen on signing a holding midfielder and see him as the perfect option. His departure could signal a squad depth problem as Joe Allen is yet to recover from his injury.
