Lionel Messi thanks Luis Suarez for a funny pajama gift on social media

Luis Suarez gifts Lionel Messi a funny pajama

Former Liverpool striker Luis Suarez gifted Lionel Messi pajamas with Grumpy’s face on it that reads “I hate Mornings!”. While Lionel Messi appreciated the gift, he just like all his fans are wondering, why Grumpy?

The 28-year old who uploaded a picture of him wearing the green colored pajamas on Instagram, seemed quite pleased with his gift in the photo. He posted the photo with the caption in Spanish that loosely translated says “Thanks to my friend Luis Suarez for the pajamas gift!!! What I did not understand why the grumpy”

Adding in English, “Thanks to my friend Luis for this gift”

It is understandable if the Argentine is grumpy at times, as he has a new born baby to take care of, Mateo Messi, who is the younger brother of two-year-old Thiago Messi, was born on September 11 this year and like all babies will be keeping his parents up late in the night.

Messi though will have enough time to spend with his children as he incurred a knee injury last month, that will see him sidelined for quite a few weeks. Barcelona seem to quite obviously miss the Argentine’s presence as their performances have faltered in recent weeks.

Luis Suarez has a massive load placed on his shoulders as he along with Brazilian captain Neymar has to fill the gap left by the prolific Argentine. The trio formed a devastating partnership last season when their 122 goals helped Barcelona claim the evasive treble. Players at the Catalan club will hope that Messi returns to the squad soon so the three forwards can forge the same relationship they did last season.

Messi has over the years has developed a habit of wearing funky outfits. Be it the Ballon d’Or or a casual night out with the boys, he never fails to get the crowd’s attention with his unique dressing sense.

The last time he won the Ballon d’Or, he was seen wearing a Polka dot suit that received mixed reactions from fans worldwide. While some felt it suited him, other though it was a horrific and didn’t deserve to be showcased in a event as grand as the Ballon d’Or.
