A Manchester United ‘die-hard’ supporter committed suicide after the Red Devils’ 1-2 loss to Arsenal in the FA Cup. The 42-year-old man, who hails from Kenya, jumped into the Indian Ocean from the Kilifi Bridge in Kilifi County, Kenya. His body was retrieved from Kilifi creek earlier in the day.

He was reportedly bragging about how his beloved team would humiliate Arsenal in the FA Cup tie, but goals from Nacho Monreal and former United player Danny Welbeck helped the Gunners qualify for the semis of the tournament.

Wayne Rooney had cancelled out Monreal’s opener, but Welbeck pounced on a mistake by Antonio Valencia to knock his boyhood team out of the FA Cup.

Some money, visiting cards and an identification card were recovered from his wallet after the body was found.
