Manchester United have launched an official Twitter handle for their fans all around the world. The Premier League champions’ first tweet came up today at 1:00 pm IST and the club already have more than 70,000 followers at the time of writing.
Wayne Rooney’s handle was the first account that they followed.
United have a huge fan following around the world, with the club’s official Facebook page having more than 34 million likes. The Twitter handle (@ManUtd) will provide updates regarding the club’s activities on and off the pitch, with the players already back to the training ground under new manager David Moyes.
