Rumour: Inter Milan eager to sign Nemanja Vidic

Nemanja Vidic of Manchester United celebrates scoring their first goal during the UEFA Champions League First Knockout Round Second Leg match between Manchester United and Inter Milan at Old Trafford back on March 11 2009, in Manchester, England.

Serie A side Inter Milan have reportedly started their transfer talks with Manchester United captain Nemanja Vidic whose current contract at the club expires this summer.

Inter President Erick Thohit has already sent his representatives to Manchester to discuss terms with the Serbian, reports Tuttosport.

It has been suggested that Vidic will be offered the same wages as he is being offered at Manchester United right now.

Inter are struggling this season as they find themselves 6th on the domestic league table, and a signing like Vidic would certainly boost their chances of securing a place in next season’s Champions League.

Vidic has started 18 matches this season for Manchester United.
