Manchester United have announced the signing of 17 year old Serbian goalkeeper Vanja Milinkovic from FK Vojvodina. Both clubs have agreed that Milinkovic will remain at FK Vojvodina next season.

Milinkovic has played for the Serbian U-17 national team in the UEFA U-17 Championships and has 3 clean sheets in 6 appearances. Serbia almost made it past the qualifying stages of the Championship but were beaten to it by Germany. Manchester United currently have 3 senior goalkeepers with David de Gea being the first choice followed by Anders Lindegaard and Ben Amos. Youngster Sam Johnstone has just recently completed a loan spell at Doncaster.

If Milinkovic plays for the first team at United, he will become only the 3rd Serbian to do so after Nemanja Vidic and Zoran Tosic. Manchester United are looking to strengthen their squad and rebuild after a disappointing season.
